Inkling (7/30)
The prompt for day 7 over at NaPoWriMo was to write a love poem to an inanimate object...this is what I came up with...
you are the licorice sun
warming the cracks in
my obsidian
you have sated many a
blank page with your asphalt
embraces and raven kisses
curves carving
their way into skin and
bone
I bleed midnight for you
and watch the blood
trickle into insomnia
you mar, you maim, you claim;
I need you like spring
needs the rain.
